  • Ph.D in Electrical Engineering (in the field of Artificial Intelligence), from Dalhousie University, Nova Scotia, Canada (2004).
  • Master of Science in Computer Engineering, from Manhattan College, New York, USA (1998)
  • Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical Engineering, from Cairo University (1994).
Summary of Academic Experience
  • Courses taught at ACU: CPE101 Computer Essentials I, CPE 102 Computer Essentials II, MAT101 Linear Algebra I, MAT201 Linear Algebra II, CNE201 Electric Circuits
  • Teaching different electrical / computer engineering and courses at different levels at two local universities and 4 universities in USA and Canada
  • Participated in reviewing several course syllabi with the Canadian counterpart at the university.
  • Special teaching interests: microprocessors, robotics, image processing.
Summary of Professional & International Experience
  • Participating in several decision making boards that counsel on purchasing educational tools/apparatus for the university. Products advised on include software and hardware products and textbooks.
  • Project leader for a six-student team that built an autonomous robot and a manual-driven robot for the international Robocon 2005 contest. This project involved mechanical design of the robots’ bodies, sensory system design, and embedded microprocessor controllers. The team got awarded by a local university for their accomplishment in this project.
  • Assistant Project Manager for a statewide construction company in New York, USA.
